we've been growing

Yesterday was my best friends' birthday. I am 800 miles away... Oh the ideas I had for her on that day - the best I could do is call and write. I miss her so much, and she is growing without me. But as they say, two trees that stand too close in each others shade will die. So we blossom and grow far from each other, making our meetings full of the thrill of rediscovering each other and our newfound glory. Haste closer May!!! Come faster, oh time that I will enjoy her smile, her laughter, her company! To sit and listen to her speak, to hear her stories, that time will be soon, and that is all I will ask. For now, she will celebrate without me - but not forgotten. Never forgotten. Never forget.
